Bill Thomas Plenums

plenum

Bill Thomas Engineering was leader in high performance modifications in the late 1950’s until the 1960’s. A Bill Thomas placing plenum was a modified plenum where the factory runners were milled to a specified blueprint design. The reduction in height of the factory runner within the plenum in theory lead to less air resistance and better air flow through the runners. On a rare occasion a Bill Thomas unit will come through our doors. For the nostalgic racer, we have worked with them to have their plenum modified to Thomas’s original design.  We have worked with customers to have their plenums cut, welded and resurfaced to mimic original appearance. Please contact us for more information. In the end, the final cosmetic appearance is key when you are considering one of these.  Poor welding seams or the loss of the original texture can devalue your plenum if not performed correctly.

Bill Thomas plenums are a unique offering that we can work you to construct.
